Former FIU Punter Stone Wilson has officially signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins.
Wilson is one of 18 undrafted free agents that signed with the Dolphins Saturday and the second Panther to sign an NFL for next season.
CJ Worton signed with the Atlanta Falcons after not being selected during the NFL draft and Anthony Johnson is fighting for a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster at their Rookie Camp.
The Dolphins punt team ranked 2nd in the NFL in punt yards last season behind starter Matt Haack.
Wilson will likely be second string to punter Haack to start the season, but similar to Haack, he will have the opportunity to earn the job as a rookie.
Wilson totaled 203 punts for 8,225 yards during his four-year career at FIU, all records for the program. Wilson also earned second-team All-Conference USA during his senior season in 2018.
Wilson, a Florida native, gets an opportunity to continue his football career at Hard Rock Stadium, only 30 minutes away from his alma mater.
